X-treme Science Teacher's Guide

Teacher's Guide

The X-treme Science Teacher's Guide was developed in conjunction the "X-treme Science! Exploring Oceans, Volcanoes, and Outer Space exhibit. This exhibit, funded by NASA, aims to introduce students to some of the special environments of Hawai'i and the scientists who study them, and to inspire children to get involved in science themselves.

The Teacher's Guide provides educators in grades K-12 with new, hands-on ways to engage their students in exploring the Earth and other planets, through activities in earth and space sciences, visual arts, music, math, socail studies, and language arts.

Call the Education Department to order a manual, or stay tuned to this web site for online guides and lesson plans. (Guides should be available online by the end of March).
