What he does
Eric uses remote-sensing images taken from airplanes to study the ecology of coral reefs.

How he got into science
Eric always loved water, and started to like science in college. When he realized he could make a living scuba diving on coral reefs, he knew he'd found the right job!

Favorite accomplishments
Eric says "just being accepted into grad school in Hawai'i is a favorite accomplishment!" He's also proud to have published his work on using remote-sensing to understand Kaneohe Bay coral reefs.

In his free time
Eric relaxes by spending time with his wife. He also enjoys playing the guitar, cooking, swimming and eating.
